The Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) recently visited the office of Huawei Technologies Pakistan as part of the Huawei Digital Week Event. During the visit, the AEDB delegation, led by CEO Mr. Shah Jahan Mirza, had the opportunity to witness Huawei's cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions, including their impressive array of green energy solutions.
By considering Huawei's deep expertise in both the communications and renewable energy industries, Mr. Shah Jahan Mirza, CEO, AEDB expressed AEDB's keen interest in collaborating with Huawei in the renewable energy sector, particularly in the solar photovoltaic (PV) field. Recognizing Huawei's global perspective and track record in renewable energy, AEDB aims to foster a fruitful partnership for the development of renewable energy in Pakistan.
Mr. Shah Jahan Mirza, CEO, AEDB highlighted a few potential areas for collaboration between AEDB and Huawei. These include the implementation of a 600 MW PV project, the installation of rooftop photovoltaic systems on Pakistan government office buildings, upgrading the 11kV power lines, and the Category-3 LOI Solar Utility project. By focusing on these key initiatives, both parties can contribute significantly to the growth of renewable energy infrastructure in Pakistan.
